eMemory and Vanguard Joint Partnership Reaches Ten Thousand Wafer Milestone

Hsinchu, Taiwan, (July 13, 2007) - eMemory Technology Inc., a world renowned provider of Logic embedded non-volatile memory intellectual property (IP) and Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS), a leading manufacturing service provider of integrated circuits, have announced the milestone of 0.25um cumulative wafer production volume reaching 10,000 within a year.

The partnership exists to develop a series of high-voltage and Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS (BCD) process platforms using eMemory's NeoBit one-time and multiple-time programmable (OTP/MTP) IPs. These BCD/HV processes have been widely implemented in LCD drivers and power management ICs (PMIC) in addition to many other applications. The NeoBit qualified processes including the 0.5 um, 0.35 um and the 0.25 um technologies create tremendous values in trimming, gamma correction, Vcom settings, and overdrive functions, system status report and digital power management control, etc.

“eMemory's NeoBit IP solutions provide the capability for precision trimming of analog components and enable the flexibility of adjusting the wafer’s display parameters at the module assembly stage, helping our customers time to market and their product differentiations,” said Yih-Jau Chang, Vice President of Engineering Service in Vanguard International Semiconductor Corp.,“With the close collaboration with eMemory, we believe this will continue to bring greater benefit to our mutual customers”

“VIS is one of the best foundry service providers dedicated to the development of BCD and High Voltage processes. We are very pleased to have had the great opportunity to work with VIS over the years and to offer the reliable IP solutions.” said Charles Hsu, president of eMemory. “We will continuously cooperate with VIS to develop innovative technology as well as provide superb IP services to the customers.”

Off to the next milestone, both companies will continue to expand the technology and IP portfolio to improve our customers' competitiveness. A primary endeavor will be to offer more advanced technology platforms, allowing more customers to be served in the future.
