Parameter Setting

What is Parameter Setting?

Even after an IC is fabricated and sent onto system assembly, certain parameters of the IC may need to be adjusted in order to work efficiently with other components. Parameter settings are required most commonly in driver ICs, such as required by LCD driver ICs to set gray level and gamma curves. More complex systems may require real-time recording of system parameters in order to improve product life, as in the case of battery impedance, and/or security, as is the case for battery pack of notebook.
