What is Neobit®
Neobit is a programmable logic device aiming for embedded OTP/MTP applications. Its fast programming can meet most high speed demands, and its erasure requires UV exposure. Thanks to the adoption of logic-based structure, additional masking layers or extra process steps are not necessary for Neobit fabrication. Neobit can be implemented seamlessly in various CMOS technologies such as logic, mixed-mode, analog, Radio-Frequency(RF) and high voltage(HV) processes. Process simplicity and flexibility not only make Neobit extremely robust with high fabrication yield, additional advantages such as fast time-to-market, low manufacturing/development cost and high scalability help Neobit technology adopters strengthen the competitiveness of their products.
Neobit has comprehensive uses such as code storage in micro controllers, data storage in IC cards, code storage in RFID, fuse device in memory redundancy and trim setting in analog/RF circuits. It is a perfect replacement for ROM and EPROM with field programmability. Currently eMemory provides three kinds of Neobit intellectual properties(IP): Neobit Fuse, Neobit Macro and Neobit RFID. Existing IPs with densities from 8bits to 64kBytes are available in CMOS technologies from 0.5um to 0.18um. To offer the greatest accessibility and flexibility, eMemory has licensed most major foundries for Neobit IP integration and fabrication. With eMemory's full technical support and foundry-guaranteed quality, incorporating Neobit IP into an IC design can ever be so efficient and reliable.
What is NeoFlash®
NeoFlash is the ultimate solution aiming for emerging embedded MTP/Flash applications. It utilizes advanced single poly Flash structure, and requires only 3 additional non-critical masks to be embedded into CMOS logic processes of 0.18um and beyond. NeoFlash possesses outstanding performance with high reliability. To meet the requirement of embedded MTP/Flash, NeoFlash can sustain 85¢XC-10 year data retention and a least 1K endurance. On the strength of its simple process, robust design and low cost, NeoFlash is very promising for embedded Flash in system on chip (SoC) applications.
NeoFlash was qual in June 2006. Serveral NeoFlash IPs are available
and are in production stage now.
